Vintage Memoires

Sometimes blokey blokes, who don’t know anything about romance come up with the best ideas! I’m (for once) not referring to my own hubby (who, I have to admit, is pretty good with gift giving), but the one of Angela.

It was her hubby who came up with the idea of giving her a vintage case, personalised with a beautiful heartfelt message engraved onto a plaque inside.

He filled the case with memories from when they first met, added photo’s and movie tickets. He even purchased the newspaper from the day they were married (aawwwww, are we all melting by now?).

That one single vintage case was the beginning of vintage memoires, an online shop where you find the most beautiful keepsake cases. These cases are perfect for weddings, anniversaries and new babies. And tadaaa, that’s where I got super interested! I was trying to find the perfect keepsake box for Benji for a while already, but couldn’t find anything. When I posted about it on Instagram, I had multiple people pointing out the stunning cases from vintage memoires. It was love at first sight, and I definitely wanted to order one for our boy.

I was in two minds if I should get the white retro vintage case, or the baby blue keepsake case. I ended up choosing the baby blue one, because it has the option of adding monogramming as well as the engraved plaque inside.  After choosing the case, we had to come up with the text for the engraved plaque. That was probably the hardest part of it all, it took us a few days to write down exactly what we wanted to say without being too cheesy (it still is, I have to admit, but hey -we all love our little babies so much we get all gooey don’t we).

The ordering process was super easy and quick! I liked how you are given the opportunity to proofread the engraving, before it is finalised. I didn’t expect it, and it really exceeded my expectations.  After I approved it, it arrived in no-time, and I was so impressed with it. It’s so sturdy and such good quality. I’m sure it will last for a very long time! Besides that it is practical, it’s also a gorgeous item to display in a room.

In Benji’s box you will find his tiny hospital gown, his ankle bands. His first outfit and some photo’s. we will be adding more things to it overtime. His first toys, hair from his fist haircut… etc. A box of firsts, is what we call it.

I’d love to know what you think!
